Brothers Roy and kohn janne founded Tms Fresh Meat Wholesalers in 1989. They originally started in the retail sector in 1983 when they opened their first butchery, Ideal Meat. Around 1988 they noticed there was a massive opportunity to integrate into the wholesale meat market. The following year they opened Tms Fresh Meat Wholesalers in Doornfontein, Johannesburg.

Through their hard work, commitment and passion for the meat industry they quickly out grew their premises in Doornfontein and developed a new property in City Deep over 12000sqm. They made the move from Doornfontein to City Deep in 1994 where they are currently located and have recently developed a state-of-the-art cold-store, capable of storing over 1000 tons of frozen food products and 300 tons of fresh food products.
